DECEMBER IS NATIONAL SAFE TOYS & GIFTS MONTH

There are many holidays in December for humans, but not so much for pets. Of course, our pets are just as spoiled as we are when it comes to those Hanukkah or Christmas gifts. But for dogs and other pets, toys are not a luxury, but a necessity. To ensure safety for your furry friend, monitor your pet’s playtime to prevent any “unscheduled” activities.

Holiday Tips 🎄

Amidst the chaos of the season, we wanted to remind you of how the season can affect our pets. To avoid a holiday trip to the emergency hospital, keep a tight lid on the trash can and don’t feed your pets these items

🐾  Fat trimmings, gravy, or bones

🐾 Grapes and raisins

🐾 Onions and garlic

🐾 Butter, milk, or eggnog

🐾 Alcohol

🐾 Bread dough

🐾 Macadamia nuts and walnuts

🐾 Chocolate and candy

I recently switched to SODO from another veterinarian in town. I have been beyond impressed with the staff and doctors with both of my dogs. The Veterinarian’s never made me feel embarrassed to ask a question, or bring up an issue with my dogs that Ive tried to remedy myself prior to bringing in. I’m often leery bringing my rescue to new places due to the stigma of her bully breed, even though she is a lover, can be “temperamental”. The staff handled her with such wonderful care, and made me feel so comfortable. Boarding them was a breeze, and the pups came out as happy little clams 🙂 It means the world that I can trust a Veterinary Hospital to care for my fur-kids, medically and with boarding.
